Charminster
NEW Masterplanning was appointed by Wyatt Homes to prepare an illustrative masterplan and outline planning application for a mixed-use extension to the village of Charminster in West Dorset.
The 2.6 hectare site at Charminster Farm presents the best opportunity to deliver new housing to meet local needs and bring new facilities to support village life.
Working closely with the Parish Council, the masterplan proposed the creation of a new village square space, a multi-purpose community hall and a village green space, alongside a balanced mix of 70 new homes.
The proposals were granted outline planning permission on 21st August 2015 by West Dorset District Council and NEW Masterplanning are currently working with Wyatt Homes to progress the detailed designs through a reserved matters application.
